Your best, you’re going to give me your absolute best?  I want your very best, your very best!

I want to share a scene from a movie with you.  I get emotional every time I watch it.  Perhaps it is because I know how often I have looked for the shortcut in life.  Perhaps it is because I know that I rarely ever had anyone that demanded “my absolute best.”  Maybe I get teary eyed because I wish I could be there to demand more from my clients, not to prove to me, but to prove to them, what they are capable of.

 I don’t want you giving up at a certain point when you can go further.

What if you gave your absolute best?  What would it look like if you gave the effort to make it to the 30?  What about the 50?  What could you achieve if you committed and blindly pushed through the pain and gave your absolute best performance?  What if you had somebody to hold you accountable to that level of performance.

“Don’t tell me you can’t give me more than what I’ve been seeing.”  You are capable of so much more!  I know it and you know it.  Stop letting fear and the BS stories that you tell yourself from giving your absolute best.  Keep going!  20 more steps!  Keep going.  Negotiate with your body & your brain to give a little bit more.  Don’t quit!
